Harvest House, the headquarters of the opposition MDC-T party will soon be renamed in honour of the former prime minister and founding leader of the opposition party Morgan Tsvangirai who was buried in Buhera on Tuesday. The MDC-T National Standing Committee is reported to have met on Thursday where it passed a resolution to rename Harvest House. One of the resolutions reads:
That Harvest House is to be called Morgan Richard Tsvangirai in honour of the late president after consultation with the national members.
The decision now awaits ratification by the National Council. although this is regarded as a mere formality. A source who spoke to online publication, New Zimbabwe said:
The Standing Committee made their recommendation and we are going to National Council just to endorse the decision.
