EXCLUSIVE: The executive producer of the Emmy-awarded documentary We Will Dance Again has recently taken up the role of Vice President of Content & Partnerships at Israel’s Yoav Gross Productions (YGP).

Ariel Weisbrod has signed on with the creators of Red Skies as part of an initiative to boost their international scope, the company announced. His responsibilities will include managing content and development, as well as spearheading international co-productions and partnerships. He fills the position previously held by Osher Assouline, who has since moved to oversee content for YGP’s microdrama app, previously featured here.

Weisbrod joins YGP following a six-year stint at Sipur Studios, known for producing Bad Boy. During his time there, he led projects such as Bad Boy, which was acquired by Netflix, and We Will Dance Again, a film about the tragic events of October 7 at the Nova Music Festival. Earlier this year, Deborah Kaufmann, formerly of Legendary Entertainment, joined Sipur to head their content division.

YGP, known for producing works like Apple TV’s Red Skies and Yes’ On Standby, also operates the microdrama app AppReel. AppReel features titles such as Survivors of the Heart and The Cinderella Trials. Deadline earlier this year listed it among the pioneering vertical video platforms.
