UNHERALDED and yet talented songbird Scarlet Rose dreams big.
Born Primrose 25 years ago, the Masvingo Poly IT student has made a vow to heal bleeding souls and the unlucky in love through music.
She says her music is centrally on love matters, especially heart breaks.

“Love songs drives me crazy and that is my area of specialty,” said the songstress who is itching for recognition.
Rose, who is perfecting her keyboard playing skills, bemoans lack of support among female artistes.
“As a female artistes we need support in terms of sponsorship but it’s really hard as some of the prospective sponsors demand sex in exchange for our services.
“However, this hasn’t stopped me from fulfilling my vision as an Afro pop musicians,” she said.
Rose, who boasts of one album titled Love & Blessings and five singles, said she was singing from her past experiences.

“I have experienced heart-breaks in life and I believe I have a role to play in assisting bleeding hearts through music.
“In short, my music is a painkiller to those in rocky relationship and to those who steady relationship, they need to keep the fire burning,” she said.
Lack any other artistes itching for recognition, Rose wants professional handlers to run her affairs.
“As an upcoming artiste who is financially unstable, I need a genuine manager and sponsor.
“World over, top artistes have made it to the top owing to the financial support they have received from sponsors,” added.

Born in Hwangwe, music has always been in veins even though her parents wanted her to pursue education.
She did her primary education at Shabanie Primary when her parents relocated to the mining town.
Afterwards, she did her “O” and “A” levels at Dadaya High in Zvishavane.
She then enrolled at Morgan Zintec College for her Diploma in Education but could not finish the programme since it was not her calling.
Currently, she is studying IT at Masvingo Poly and she will be graduating soon.
Musically, she is inspired by Ammara Brown, Pah Chihera and Winky D.
Amongst her role models, it was Pah Chihera who gave her confidence to keep her dream alive when they shared the stage in Masvingo before lockdown.
Rose is currently perfecting her skills in playing the keyboards, an instrument she has always loved since childhood.
She is still single but at the moment she is married to her music.
