WINKY D’s camp on Sunday described the death of versatile drummer Delroy “Scara” Maripakwenda as a huge loss.
The drummer, who worked with the band for over five years, is believed to have succumbed to a heart-related problem.
He was 30.
In an interview with H-Metro, Vigilance Band manager and spokesperson Elder Jonathan Banda described the late drummer as a creative artiste.
“He was a hardworking, creative and he boasted of a wider network which made him a favourite of many.
“We will dearly miss him and all the good job he did for the arts industry,” he said.
Fellow artistes like Netherlands based Vimbai Zimuto, UK based Edith Weutonga and hordes of local shared their grief on various social media platform.

Club Connect proprietor Biggie Chinoperekwei was also shocked after getting the said news.
Scara was a resident drummer at Club Connect where he made various contacts.
He said:
“Since he was one of ours at Club Connect, it is a great loss to us and the industry at large.
“We intend to celebrate his life on Thursday at Club Connect.
“We want to remember him in unique way.”
