WARRIORS captain Knowledge Musona is set to remain in the Belgian top-flight with a possible move from Anderlecht to KAS Eupen.
Musona, who has been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa, has travelled with Eupen to Qatar for their winter-break training at the ASPIRE Academy Complex – a feeder to the Belgian top-flight.
The club announced the development on their website yesterday saying the Smiling Assassin will be assessed throughout the week.
“Zimbabwean international Knowledge Musona joins KAS Eupen’s training camp at the Aspire Academy.

“The 29-year-old offensive midfielder and attacker of RSC Anderlecht arrived in Doha on Wednesday evening and will be tested at KAS Eupen.
“As a national player of Zimbabwe, Knowledge Musona has scored 19 goals in 27 international matches. In the Jupiler Pro League, he played 112 matches for KV Oostende, scoring 41 goals and 18 Asissts,” announced Eupen.
The development comes as good news for the Zimbabwe skipper who has been struggling for game time at Anderlecht.
The 29-year-old has been moved with move to South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns after going out of favour at Anderlecht.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said he would not hesitate to get Musona if he becomes available.
And after reports that Musona is likely to stay in Belgium yesterday, Kaizer Chiefs fans took to social media to mock Sundowns.
Musona made his name at Chiefs during the 2010-11 season and their fans were not happy with reports that he is heading to Sundowns.
Musona endured a difficult stint at the Belgian powerhouse which saw him playing just eight times in one and half years – scoring once – since his move from KV Oostende in the same league in July 2018.
The Zimbabwe skipper was loaned to Lokeren, who were relegated from the Belgian top-flight, where he played six times and scored one goal.
