Former lnsiza South Zanu PF MP and veteran journalist Malaki Nkomo has appeared before Gwanda provincial magistrate, Nomagugu Ncube facing charges of indecent assault after he allegedly fondled a neighbor, Nicole Rogers’ breasts.

Nkomo pleaded innocent and said he only had a scuffle with Rogers whose camera he forcibly took away from her. He accused Rogers whom he has a land dispute with of trespassing onto his farm and filming activities there.

He said that Rogers’ report to the Police arose from the scuffle.

It is the State case that on January 2, 2017 at 730am when the accused was still MP for lnsiza South, the complainant arrived at the accused’s Farm at Plot 3 Atherstone in West Nicholson and found him removing property from workers’ room.

The complainant started filming the activity with a camera. This did not go down well with Nkomo who forcibly grabbed the complainant by the neck trying to take the camera from her.

Nkomo reported the matter to the Police where he surrendered the camera. Rogers said that her SD card was missing.

Nkomo said the complainant gave him problems as they fought over land issues. He said he did not fondle the complainant but took the camera to the Police intending to report her but found that she had already filed a report against him. The matter was remanded to this week.
