FAMOUS ‘sweet potato’ Chinhoyi boy Zoolian Karendo was on Wednesday appointed brand ambassador of Global DNA Zimbabwe after his parents agreed to go for testing.

Global DNA Zimbabwe brew a shocker on their Twitter handle by offering free DNA testing to Zoolian to ascertain if the man who was feeding him with sweet potatoes was his real father.

Tinashe Mugabe of Global DNA Zimbabwe paid Zoolian’s parents Christopher Karendo and Tatenda Chihota a visit in Chikonohono suburb where he invited the parents and the boy for DNA tests.

“After viewing the video of Zoolian on social media complaining about eating mbambaira daily we quickly rushed to suggest that he could have been staying with a step father,” said Mugabe.

“We decided to give the boy some hampers and as well offered his parents free DNA tests and they agreed.

“We took their samples and the results will be ready if few days.

“We took DNA samples of Zoolian and his alleged parents,” said Mugabe.

Zoolian along with his parents were taken to a clinic housing Global DNA Zimbabwe in Chinhoyi where the DNA samples were carried.

In an interview Karendo said he never dreamt that Zoolian would bring food on the table at his tender age.

“This is God’s hand upon my family and I never dreamt to see Zoolian bringing food on our table at a tender age ndi Mwari uyu,” said Karendo.

According to Global DNA Zimbabwe, Christopher Karendo and Tatenda Chihota remain as alleged parents until the results come positive.
