VETERAN striker Ralph Matema believes he is still going strong at 37, hence his decision to join Triangle.

Matema was with Yadah last season and helped them escape relegation on the final day.

Just when many expected him to retire, Matema is taking an even tougher challenge.

Matema said he is expecting a better 2020 season.

“I wanted new challenges.

“I want to be better than last season. I have to score more, assist more and help the team achieve their set goals.

“The plan is to go to a new place where they will be new challenges and new competition,” said Matema.

Matema finished last season with 10 goals, four behind eventual golden boot winner Clive Augusto.

“If I can still do what I was doing when I was 27 then why stop now, the journey just got interesting.

“I know I can still do it, while now I think I can do it better because I have been there for some time and with experience you never go wrong.

“I am actually a better player, a full package,” he added.
