ZIMBABWE senior men and women beach volleyball team left the country on Wednesday for Maputo, Mozambique ahead of the Sub Zonal Phase qualification of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Zambia, South Africa, Botswana and the host Mozambique are the other participating countries at the tournament which starts tomorrow.
Zimbabwe will be represented by Keith Machakaire, Terrence Chipidzinga, Simbarashe Chidziva and Kudakwashe Kadanda in the men’s side.
While Progress Gasa, Nyengeterai Guyo, Media Mafuta and Viola Muchaona will be representing the women’s side.
The team will be led by Kudzai Sibangani.
Meanwhile, Progress Gasa and Nyengeterai Guyo were the country’s representatives at the 12th edition of the African Games that were held in Morocco.
The duo finished on position 13.
