A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a three-year-old on Boxing Day in Chingorogodzi Village, Guruve under Chief Chipuriro.
The accused man, Graham Chokuchichi, has since appeared at Bindura Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody to January 10, 2020.
Magistrate Moreblessing Makati presided over the case.
The State alleges that on December 26, 2019 and at Chingorogodzi village, Chokuchichi raped the minor in his bedroom.

On the day the complainant was outside the house with the family members and were busy playing music while the accused was sleeping in his bedroom.
The complainant is said to have been playing running in and out of the house where the uncle was.
So when the grandmother had gone to bed later. The complainant then went into the room of the accused where Chokuchichi raped her.
And after some time she followed her grandmother and told her that her uncle had touched her privates which were now painful.
They noticed blood on the complainant’s vagina.
The grandmother took the complainant and bathed her and the minor told the grandmother of the rape.
The accused was medically examined and evidence in court can be led from the complainant (name withheld) and medical report.
When they took her to the hospital they said that there was an attempt of penetration, though it did not succeed but she was left with some bruises on her legs, an act of rape.
