Muchini siblings’ Covid-19 prayer

In the wake of a re-surge in coronavirus cases in some western countries, two siblings have released a single calling for divine intervention.

Wonder and Reward Muchini have since released a song titled “Pindirai Mwari” and it features renowned producer Peter Muparutsa.

Wonder, who played rhythm and led the vocals on the song said the song is a call for God to heal His land.

He said Covid-19 has affected every sector and have therefore decided to drop a single while working on their forthcoming album.

“As an upcoming group we have also been affected by Covid-19 and we decided to have this song in the meantime while we work on a new album.

“The song is calling for God’s intervention. It’s clear now that we can’t handle this alone as mankind. At one point we thought we have managed to contain the deadly virus, there is a re-surge and we believe it’s time to pray for God to heal His land,” he said.

The versatile instrumentalist said the song also touches on the devastating effects of the virus.

In the song, the Muchini siblings explained how stories of Covid-19 were reported in other countries, specifically China.

“No one knew that it would spread and kill people. It all started with some social media stories but it was real,” reads part of the lyrics.

Like any other sector, the duo bemoans the effects of Covid-19 saying it has stalled production of their debut album.

They have, however, stepped up efforts to make the project available with hope of bringing a new feel into the musical landscape.

The Muchini brothers’ passion for music started at a tender age and they believe it is the right time to venture into music professionally.
