Manica Diamonds chairman Masimba Chihowa says they are excited with Last Jesi’s move to Sudanese side Al-Hilal.

Jesi left Manica Diamonds for FC Platinum last year on loan and only played three Champions League matches including against Al-Hilal.

“It is a great pleasure and great experience for a team that had only played one season to nurture a player of Last Jesi’s type.

“No one can resist his talent and the skills he exhibits. He still has a long way to go. I believe playing outside Zimbabwe may provide him a good environment as well as experience to reach greater heights.

“His move suits well the goals of Manica Diamonds which is identifying, nurturing and promoting talent from Manicaland and Zimbabwe at large .

“The sell definitely inspires some of the players we have, Last got his chance and utilised it maybe if they use the chances correctly they might also shine.

“Hilaal were interested when they saw him playing from there negotiations began and  we agreed to let him go.

“As a club we can only wish him the best, hopefully he will use the chance to reach greater heights,” he said.
