Dynamos captain Partson Jaure says having a financially stable team is key in keeping players motivated.
Jaure said this at the team’s sponsorship program yesterday in Harare.
Dynamos were set to unveil the whole team but had a small event that excluded the players as they were abiding to the corona-virus pandemic prevention measures.
“Having a good sponsor is everything this day and age. Players are playing for money more than they are playing for passion.
“Having a good sponsor will also help players in motivating them. When people have money they are serious about their work.
“We would like to thank Remington Gold and all our sponsors for taking care of our needs and our families too.
“That is the reason why some of us are doing what we are doing,” said Jaure.
Dynamos were unveiling their partnership with Remington Gold, a cigarettes company. The partnership is for five years.
Jaure said they are anticipating a good season as he also said he is worried about when the season will kick off.
“We are looking forward to a great season. Our main worry is when the league will start.
“We are aware of the corona-virus. We just hope they find the cure and just put this thing to an end for good.
“We actually can’t wait for the season to start,” he added.
Dynamos chairman Isiah Mupfurutsa said having a financial stable team is everything.
“We are happy to have these sponsorships onboard. We were tired of being bullied in the market with the financial stable teams.
“Now we are amongst them. Our players will well taken care of. I am anticipating a smooth running season.
“We are just hoping for the best with the issue of us having the league starting after June,” said Mupfurutsa.
Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya said he is happy with the sponsor.
“We are happy and grateful to have these sponsors. We needed this support more than anything.
“Because of them we managed to have a good team, competitive and talented, we couldn’t have done it without them.
“We bought a lot of experience and we also increased the level of in-house competition. I am positive with this team we will take the team to the next level.
