Although the genre has been dominated by some of the best, the artiste believes he has what it takes to be among the best in Zimbabwe.

“I want to manipulate the game in a way that was failed to be portrayed by many artistes.

“I am bringing a story telling rap that includes hardcore instrumentals and a deep motivation inside,” added Metric.

The artiste is also working with Mutorashanga based rapper, Shingayi Trevor Simoyi better known as STYCE, who recently released his video “Go Down” ft Nyasha Timbe, Yoz & Shinsoman.

Metric Rhymes is currently working on an album filled with gospel, and love songs.

“Hip hop music is mainly regarded as music that is associated with explicit language because of the history of this genre and the country it originated from.

“So we don’t expect to have such language in Zim hip hop because most of the Zimbabweans have manners” said the artiste.

Speaking of collaborations Metric said he is planning to work with Freeman and T Gonz since they inspire him.
