CHICKEN Inn have engaged former Warriors shot-stopper Energy Murambadoro as goalkeepers’ coach ahead of the 2020 Premiership season, H-Metro can reveal.

The Gamecocks are leaving no stone unturned as they continue beefing up their squad to fight for the championship.

A source at Chicken Inn confirmed the development saying the former Warriors goalie is expected to join them anytime for pre-season training.

“Energy (Murambadoro) is joining  Chicken Inn as goalkeepers’ coach. They have agreed terms and is expected to join them for pre-season anytime.

“He has done well as a goalkeeper and obviously the guys at Chicken Inn felt he will bring something into their team. He will work with coach Joey Antipas and his technical staff,” revealed the source.

H-Metro also gathered Gokwe, as Murambadoro is fondly known in football circles, will have to apply for exemption from Zifa since he does not have enough papers.

And being a legend himself, indications are that Zifa will not block him to start his coaching career while he sorts out his papers.

“Energy however needs to add some badges to coach in the Premiership. So for now Zifa has to give him the nod.

“I don’t think they (Zifa) will block him. He is a Warriors legend and Zifa have been vocal on giving the new blood a chance,” said the source.

The 37-year-old retried from a football career that has spanned to over 16 years when we was at Amazulu in South Africa in May last year.
