AILING Zim dancehall artiste, Bounty Lisa, yesterday “snubbed” a local doctor’s appointment after a Good Samaritan had offered to foot part of her medical bills.
Music promoter and businesswoman Barbara “Mama Red Rose” Chikosi was touched by the former Conquering Family first lady’s condition after H-Metro published the story highlighting her condition.
Prior to the story, the 26-year-old had appeared on Yadah Television during Prophet Walter Magaya’s main service in the company of her father Pinias Musenyi, 65, and one of her sisters seeking for prayers.
Mama Red Rose then offered to help Bounty Lisa to get medication and yesterday she was due to see doctor.
H-Metro crew visited the surgery of the doctor who was meant to examine the entertainer and only found Mama Red Rose waiting for her.
The Ndovanakidza singer never showed up for the appointment even though the promoter had paid for the consultation and the scan, which was conducted.
“I was here as early as 9 am so that I would take her to the doctor.
“She had initially told me that the she was going to meet some officials at her home in Kuwadzana but the appointment was still on.
“She had promised to come but she never fulfilled the promise.
“Yesterday (Tuesday) I paid for her consultation and a scan was conducted.
“We were supposed to see the doctor today and discuss issues concerning the removal of the lump.
“I am just there to help her, handina kana mari yandiri kuda kana mbiri ini,” she said.
“I left my contacts at the reception so that they will call me and I am ready to pay for her medical bills.
“I am really touched about her situation and she needs immediate help.”
Many people have been sympathising with Bounty Lisa ever since she disclosed her illness.
Some music promoters are reportedly planning benefit shows while other well-wishers are already mobising funds for Bounty Lisa.
However, Mama Red Rose had offered to foot part of the bills but the chanter did not show up and her phone went unanswered.
