Impeccable sources have moved to confirm reports that Emmerson Mnangagwa’s deputy, Constantino Chiwenga last month physically called on former President Robert Mugabe to apologise for conducting the coup that made Mnangagwa President in November 2017.
This followed CHIWENGA’s consultations with Madzibaba Noah Taguta in December 2017 who advised the vice president to go and apologise.

This was during the chaotic moments when Mnangagwa was out on his trip to Russia, and other countries and the so-called ShutDown stay away was ongoing. During that time, all civil servants were furious after Mnangagwa announced a fuel price hike that turned Zimbabwe’s into the most expensive in the world.
The chaos saw on the 15th January, groups of soldiers descending onto schools to assault teachers forcing them to go and strike in public, while other security forces ordered civilians to go and loot from shops.

As is seen in a video of Mnangagwa’s in law Terence Mukupe’s confessions, even some youths arrested for looting were on an official party mission.
It is believed that there was a military operation set to remove president Emmerson Mnangagwa last month and social media posts by Mukupe appear to confirm as he tweeted thanking the ZIPRA wing of the military for intervening to save Mnangagwa.
It was in the middle of that chaos that Chiwenga was hit by deep regret.

The sources told ZimEye, “it is true that he went to apologise to Robert Mugabe around the time ED was in Belarus.”
“When president Emmerson mnangagwa returned, he was not at all amused and he told him (Chiwenga) you are now trying to play your tribal Zezuru games, right? – mavakuda kuita zvenyu zvemazezuru handiti?
“But notwithstanding, Chiwenga still told him to go and do the same that is apologise to Mugabe,” our source concluded.
Mnangagwa has as a result of “security fears”, since retired for top army generals and re-assigned them to diplomatic service.
