The BBC has decided to cancel three popular entertainment programs as part of an effort to cut costs by £500 million ($664 million) due to ongoing financial difficulties.
The shows Blankety Blank, Celebrity Mastermind, and Live At The Apollo will not continue, as the network makes what it calls “difficult decisions.”
“We hold these three shows in the highest regard and are immensely grateful to everyone who has contributed to their success, both on screen and behind the scenes,” said the BBC in a statement.
“Given our current financial constraints, we are forced to make some hard choices, and these programs have been identified for savings within our entertainment portfolio.”
