THE ZIMBABWE Agricultural Society has launched a farmers’ market expected to operate in the East End Hall at the showgrounds.
Acting chief executive officer Engineer Engelbert Makaure said the market was expected to open soon after the setting up of health measures in line with Covid-19 regulations.
“We launched the farmers market in line with our vision to improve farmers’ livelihoods for economic development,” said Makaure.
“The market will be officially opened soon after the setting up of health measures in line with Covid-19 regulations and clearing of space for parking to carter for the volume of traffic.
“When everything is put in place, the market will be opened for the public and we will definitely inform farmers around the country about how it will be operating,” he said.
