Orphans from Mufakose Wings of Grace Orphanage are set for a rare treat during a Valentines ‘bring and share’ donation set for tomorrow.

The initiative is spearheaded by Inflame the Dream – a charity organisation based in the capital.

In an interview, the organisation’s Operations Director, Kareen Makowah said they are pleased with helping the vulnerable.

“Our Valentines Special Bring & Share Donation Party is all about defining true love through the act of giving.

“This is the first edition and the event is expected to see more than 100 people in attendance.

“There will be artistes from Badbwoy Family, Allana and surprise artistes.”

Added Makowah:

“We support orphanages that can’t meet the basic needs of underprivileged orphans by providing food and clothing.

“We also foster hope to the vulnerable and disadvantaged whilst we also help young people realise their gifs and talents.

“This is a Valentines special where we want to show some love by donating to kids, clothes, school stationery among other basic items,” she said.

Makowah said no child deserves to live a hopeless life.

“We also work with Hurlings Pre- School and Daycare based in Greencroft.

“We are looking forward to see more partners to make sure this initiate reaches far.

“This worthy project relies on the generosity and the goodwill of the community.”

Inflame the Dream has been carrying our various projects in Zimbabwe in aid of underprivileged children.

The organisation has four main events each year that take place in April, August and December  which include Valentines Special Bring and Share Donation Party, Blanket-fest, Back to School campaign and Christmas Hamper Campaign.
