A Trip Trans manager was reportedly arrested yesterday by the police after he allegedly blocked a Season Coaches bus from plying the Malawi route at Roadport in Harare.

Ugly scenes were seen at the terminus where two Trip Trans buses blocked a Season Coach bus which was bound for Malawi delaying travel for over two hours.

In an interview with H-Metro, Season Coaches Manager Glassgow Nhandara said:

“Trip Trans have been blocking us here for more than three days.

“We have applied for a rank permit at Roadpot terminus and we are still waiting for it.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police have cleared us to use Simon Muzenda Bus terminus for the mean time whilst waiting the permit from Roadpot.

“Trip Trans bus manager wants to control this terminus yet doesn’t he have the powers to do that.

“Trip doesn’t want us to operate the Malawi route and that is why he is blocking our bus.”
