Furious Mnangagwa Issues Warning To “Queen Bee”

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has issued a stern warning to businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei that he will not hesitate to remove him from the Command Agriculture programme unless he performs as expected. Tagwirei who is reported to be Mnangagwa’s nephew is reported to have withheld fuel meant for farmers under the Command Agriculture programme. The businessman who is informally referred to as “Queen Bee” was appointed by the government to be the leader of the Command Agriculture programme through his company Sakunda Holdings in 2016.

Speaking at a “Meet The People” rally in Mwenezi over the weekend, a visibly angry Mnangagwa said,

On Command Agriculture, I hear things are not moving well. The leader of the programme withheld fuel and lied that the fuel had not been provided. Listen now, if you are here, we are watching you as the government and we can remove you.

When reached for comment by the Daily News, Tagwirei declined to say anything.
