Tinotenda Kadewere who is currently in Harare on a Christmas break, says he is grateful to have been voted the revelation of the year 2020 at his French side.
The Lyon striker, who is in the country, was nominated for revelation of the year alongside Lucas Paquueta and Bruno Guimaries and won the poll by getting 41.6% of the total votes.
The 24-year-old arrived at Les Gones from Ligue 2 side Le Havre this year and has settled into one of the most key members of Rudi Garcia’s team.
It feels good to be voted the best new signing.
“I am happy that l am excelling in my career. I just want to thank all those who have been voting for me because it shows that they have been recognizing what I have been doing for the team and the effort l have been putting.
“I am so grateful for the recognition and I want to thank everyone who took their time and voted.”
The 24 year old has seven goals and three assists so far.
Kadewere says he has started the season well.
“I think I have started well and I must improve and work hard for the rest of the season.
“Getting a place in the team is not so difficult if you just manage to work hard. If you dedicate yourself and work hard getting a place in the team will not be hard for you.
“So far I haven’t reached my targets because I am still way short of my targets. Since I joined, the goal is to keep on doing well” he said.
