Bulawayo Chiefs gaffer Thulani Sibanda says he has faith in his youthful squad that he recruited for this forthcoming season.

Some of the youthful players that were signed are Mike Ndlovu, Keith Madera, Billy Veremu, Danny Milias, Mthokozizi Msebe, El Shaddai Magaya and Samuel Adom.

The gaffer have put faith on these youngsters in the 2020 PSL season and is looking forward to make them best players in the topflight.

“We want energy in the squad and these youngsters are going to bring the tempo we want to utilise for this season.

“I trust in these youngsters and I believe they are going to do their job well and also adjusting to premier league football.

“Some of them it’s their first time to play in the PSL and they are very excited to taste topflight football. As Bulawayo Chiefs we have opened doors to these youngsters because we believe in their talent and I’m looking forward to work with them and teach them the right tactics,” he said.

‘Chiefs’ were nearly relegated from the topflight last season with a point safe from the chop.

Asked about how these youngsters are going to handle the pressure of the league, the gaffer said:

“We are just team with a less ambitions who are not after the championship or any other silverware.

“Big teams like Dynamos, CAPS United, Highlanders, Chicken Inn and FC Platinum are usually the ones who are title driven but as for us we just a team who enjoys to be in the league.

“Staying in the league was a blessing for us and we are planning to stay forever and enjoy topflight football.”

Sibanda highlighted that his enjoying the pre- season campaign but the further delay to the league will slow their progress.

“The team is responding well to my training programmes but now it’s quite hurting that the league will further delay to start. Now we have to restart all over again and it slows down our progress.

“On another hand it’s still a good thing because we will now have more time to prepare,” he added.
