Alexandra Sports Club team manager Richard Masasa says the team is focused on collecting all points ahead of their weekend fixture at Churchill School against Old Georgians.
“Tempers are high cause we have been the underdogs for some time but there is pressure because we need the points to proceed to the finals.
“Yes every team wants a better outcome from every game and indeed it’s a tight one because this is a race for the National u20 championship so every game is crucial for us,” said Masasa.
Alex may be the underdogs but they have since proved to be competitive by being crowned 2018 rugby premiership champions.
“Polishing up on our previous games mistakes and emphasizing more on team work and not having pride is what we preach in the team so that the boys develop the right mindset towards every game especially this one over the weekend,” he added.
The new sponsorship in the rugby premiership by Paramount Garments continues to motivate the team in keeping their focus on collecting points.
“It’s always strength for strength especially now when points count.
We just have to stick to our game plan and work best to stop our opponents from attacking,” said Masasa.
