Verumu happy at Chiefs

FORMER Ngezi Under 19 striker Billy Veremu says he is happy to have signed for Bulawayo Chiefs.

The 24-year-old failed to play in the first team because they could not register him.

“I feel excited and happy because I will be able to play topflight football this year. Last year Ngezi Platinum couldn’t register me in their first team so I ended up playing in D1.

“Then this year the new coach came with his own plan, that’s why I accepted the loan deal to Bulawayo Chiefs.

“I chose Chiefs because they are a good team and I can match with their type of play,” said Veremu.

The striker said he is still adapting to the new environment.

“As you know it will not be that easy but through love and motivation they give me I feel at home.

“In terms of the field, I’m also grateful because every player accepted me and I’m getting used to the type of play due to a tremendous combination I’m having with my players.”

He is striker is also hoping to compete for the golden boot this year.

“Fact or fiction I’m going to do possible and impossible for the team and I’m planning on scoring many goals because that’s my main objective to be a top goal scorer in the PSL so that I can clinch the golden boot,” he said.
