Shumba hails Chapungu

TRIANGLE new signing, goalkeeper Talbert Shumba has hailed his previous club, Chapungu, for giving him the platform to shine.

Shumba joined Triangle on an undisclosed fee and the former Chapungu man has agreed to sign for one season.

In an emotional farewell message to Chapungu fans, Shumba said:

“Chapungu is my home, it was a hard decision to leave the team but in football at times its necessary.

“I would like to thank the institution for giving me the platform to showcase my talent and my former. Teammates and also the special people our passionate fans for the fantastic times we had.

“I wish them a fantastic 2020 season and one love Waru Waru family,” Shumba said.

He believes the move will help improve his career.

“I feel happy to join such a great team and look forward to the upcoming season.

“I think it will only motivate me to push myself and try and improve on my game because what happened in the past is now history and I have to push harder here,” said Shumba.

He praised his new team for the progress, which they are showing.

“Triangle is a team that has made big strides in Zimbabwean football and it’s in a community filled with passionate people who love their team.

“They want to see their team do well, joining teammates who are so welcoming and united is easy because the aim is clear to work together and help the club do well,” he said.
