REAL Stars Athletic Runner Prosper Mutwira says he feels good to have finished second at 2020 Old Mutual Marathon race that was held at Old Georgian Sports Club on Sunday.

Mutwira’s finishing time was 02:20:33 and managed to beat his personal best time (PB Time).

“To be honest I felt good to have finished second on Sunday and I’m happy that I beat my personal best time.

“It was a fantastic race and I only focused on time not people although I wanted to finish first but Jonathan Chinyoka managed to overtake me at 37 kilometres,” said Mutwira.

Mutwira also said his knee injury also triggered his chances to win the race.

“I have a knee problem so if I push harder I will start to feel pain and I started feeling it in the dying stages of the race.

“However finishing second was not bad at all and I think did well at the race as I managed to finish the whole race,” he said.

Prosper believes he can do even more better on 8 March at a CBZ Marathon race.

‘’Now I’m preparing for the next race next month which is going to be hosted by CBZ.

“It’s a race that I believe I have to do better as I’m targeting to finish on first position,” he said.
