FC Platinum coach Pieter de Jongh says he is working on adding more signings in their bid to defend their title for the third year running.

FC Platinum have this week signed midfielder Silas Songani formerly with Danish side FC Sydvest and goalkeeper Future Sibanda.

“Now our focus is on the league, we want to defend the title. We also want to win Chibuku Cup and at the same time we are targeting Champions League, we want to improve our performance in CAF Champions League.

“We are not done with the transfers, in the next 10 days we are going to add three new players,” said De Jongh.

Club spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed the coming of Songani.

“Yes the club has signed Silas Songani from Denmark Second Division FC Sydvest but unfortunately we don’t disclose the contractual information.”

De Jongh said while their aim to defend the title, they are aware of the challenge they are going to face from other teams.

“We know it is not going to be easy because teams like Ngezi Platinum, Dynamos, CAPS United, Highlanders, Chicken Inn, Manica Diamonds and Triangle are also strong.

“We are going for it and hard work is needed every day so that we continue to dominate,” he said.
