KEITH Murera has renewed his contract with Ngezi Platinum ending reports of a possible switch to Dynamos.
Murera was linked with a re-union with former coach Tonderai Ndiraya at the Harare giants.
Ngezi later tabled a better offer for their want-away star who was a free agent.
“Murera has extended his stay with us. He has been training with us for the past week. He signed a one-year extension.
“We were aware he had outside offers but we knew he was going to consider us.
“At the moment he is in Harare where he is sorting his passport for our South Africa pre-season tour there,” said an official.
Murera becomes the latest addition at Baobab together with Junior Zindoga, who was once with Maritzburg United and was also on Dynamos radar.
The Rodwell Dhlakama-coached side has 27 players for their 2020 squad so far and are set to tour South Africa in a fortnight.
They have signed 10 new players and promoted Munashe Katondo from their Under 19 team.
Madamburo have retained 16 players from the 2019 squad that finished fourth on the standings.
The team parted ways with nine players namely Tatenda Munditi, Tatenda Mchisa, Neilson Ketala, Barnabus Mushunje, Donald Teguru, Osi Minuri, Michelle Katsvairo, Blessing Sahondo and Tawanda Machaya.
Biggie Temera is believed to have been sent back to the under 19, while juniors John Munhupedzi and Martin Nhubu are touted to be remaining with the team with another junior expected to fill in the three spots left.
