Platinum hijack Chinyerere

CHICKEN Inn are not happy following reports that FC Platinum have hijacked their move for Hwange defender Nomore Chinyerere.

H-Metro gathered that despite Chicken Inn announcing to have signed the player, Platinum went on to seal the deal with his parent club.

“They (FC Platinum) are always like that, this is not the first time they have done this. They have a tendency of going behind to strike a deals with the club despite us having signed contracts with the players.

“If they have done so, good luck to them and good luck to Chinyerere. But I have the player’s contract in my office,” said Chicken Inn spokesperson Tavengwa Hara.

This will not be the first time Pure Platinum Play have snatched players under the nose of the Gamecocks.

The two clubs once had a wrangle over players like Ishmael Wadi, Perfect Chikwende and Lawrence Mhlanga.

On Chikwende, Chicken Inn claim the defending champions have not used the proper channel to sign him since they still had a running contract with him.

“FC Platinum are not new to this. We still have contracts of Ishmael Wadi and Perfect Chikwende in our office but they have them,” said Hara.

FC Platinum media liaison officer Chido Chizondo said she can only comment on this issue after getting an approved list of signings from the executive.

She, however, acknowledged Chinyerere is among the players being pursued by the club.

“I’m yet to get the final list and I can only comment after getting it and after the announcement has been done.

“The club is still negotiating with him (Chinyerere), that’s our position,” said Chizondo.

A source close to the development said the Zvishavane miners have already paid for the player while their rivals are sitting on the contract.

“Chicken Inn are likely to lose out on Chinyerere. FC Platinum snatched him and have already struck the deal.”
