Takudzwa Chimwemwe says joining Buildcon was a risk worth taking.

The Zimbabwean trio of Devon Chafa, Patson Jaure and Nqobizitha Masuku, joined Buildcon acouple of seasons ago, only to leave the club months later.

“The fear was there but sometimes you have to take the risks. Because if you don’t take risks you will not achieve anything.

“Many had to take risks to achieve some things in their life, they not be able to fulfill what they have promised me but you never know where this move will take me to.

“So this was a move worth taking, “he said.

Chimwemwe says he is looking forward to be a regular player at his new team.

The former Harare City player who moved into the Zambian league had his debut on Saturday in their 2-0 loss to Green Eagles.

Joel Ngodzo and Donald Teguru, who joined Buildcon together with Chimwemwe, were on the bench.

“It feels great coming to the team and earning a place as soon as you arrive.

“I felt good playing and knowing that I was in the team. Even though we didn’t manage to win but that’s football you win and lose some, we have to accept it, move on and focus onto the next game.

“I’m looking forward to be a regular player in the team and I’m also looking forward to go far with my work. I always put everything in God’s hands, He knows my plans, “he said.

Chimwemwe, who spent six years at Harare City, says he had a great time with the team but had to take on a new adventure.

“I had to leave City because I wanted a new challenge, new things and experience a new adventure.

“I had a good stay and we were like family and I enjoyed my six years there and I learnt a lot.
