The Zimbabwe Under-20 World Cup camp, scheduled to start yesterday, has been moved to next Tuesday.
The U-20 are set to play Malawi in their preliminary round opener on the weekend January 17-19.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) communications and competitions manager, Xolisani Gwesela announced the developments yesterday.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) advises all football stakeholders that the national Under-20 girls world cup camp which was supposed to commence today has been rescheduled to 7 January 2020 due to logistical challenges.

“The Under-17 girls are already in camp and began preparations on 27 December 2019 ahead of an away preliminary tie vs Botswana on 10; 11 or 12 January 2020.
“The U-20 Women preliminary round match against Malawi is set for 17; 18 or 19 January 2020,” reads the press statement.
The U-17 reverse fixtures at home are set to be on 24;25 or 26 January, while for the U-20 will be on the 31 January, 1 or 2 February.
ZIFA however, pledged to keep on supporting the girl child through sport and urges business community to partner and also help.
“ZIFA takes pride in the emancipation of women through football and will ensure that developmental teams participate in all matches that are provided by the world, continental and regional governing bodies.
“ZIFA appeals to all stakeholders to take this great opportunity and partner the girl child,”.
The U-17, a 23 member squad that have been in camp for seven days, will see five being dropped to remain with the travelling 18.
