Mupambuza was remanded in custody to March 3 and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Prosecutor Sabastian Mutizirwa alleged that on February 16, around 9pm, Mupambuza arrived at the complainant Gladys Zuvarigere’s bar and found that the bar was closed but she was still inside with her ‘husband’ Arthur Dombodzvuku.

The court heard that Mupambuza kicked the door open and entered into the bar which didn’t go down well with Zuvarigere resulting in an altercation.

It was further alleged that Mupambuza broke an empty beer bottle and used it to stab Zuvarigere’s mouth and left cheek.

She sustained a deep cut on the lips, chin and left cheek.

During the altercation, she also lost her phone and $2000.

Zuvarigere received medical attention and the medical affidavit she acquired shows that some of her injuries are permanent.
