Warriors and Bloemfontein Celtic defender Ronald Pfumbidzai has been diagnosed with sports hernia and is due for a minor operation next week.

Pfumbidzai last played on December 7 in their game against Kaizer Chiefs and is set to be out for six weeks.

Pfumbidzai says though he really wanted to be back he understands that an injury is part of the game.

“I haven’t been playing for the past two months and I thought I’d be okay by now but it seems like I will be out for a longer time that I expected.

“I have been having this problem and they’re time I tried to play but I’d be in pain after.

“I have been doing some light training and I thought I was getting better, “he said.

He added:

“I am disappointed but still it’s part of the game and it happens. So the best way now is to just fight through it and come back stronger.

“I pray that l get better soon and keep on playing the beautiful game that l love”

“Usually after an injury it will it will take time to get the form back. But l don’t want to think much of it now and l just need to make sure l do well with my rehab.”

Pfumbidzai who has made a huge impact in the Warriors squad is hopeful of great comeback saying the injury is just a setback.

“This is just a setback it happens; I know that I will come back stronger.

“I am not worried because I believe that I will be okay wat I need to do now is to focus on my healing, “he said.
