Former Warriors midfielder Tinashe “Father” Nengomasha has entered his notice to defend his wife Samantha’s claims in the pair’s pending divorce at the High Court.

Samantha is daughter to the late national hero and music icon Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi.

She filed for divorce late last year where she made known her intentions to sell their Hillside property and have proceeds shared equally amongst them.

Through his lawyers, Muhonde Attorneys, Nengomasha has not responded to Samantha’s claims but only revealed his intention to defend his position in the divorce proceedings.

“Take notice that on the 19th of December 2019…the Defendant (Nengomasha) has entered his intention to defend against the Plaintiff (Samantha)’s claim in the above matter,” wrote Nengomasha.

According to the summons, Samantha is also claiming property the two acquired for the Hillside house and Johannesburg, South Africa house.

Two minor children were born out of the union and according to Samantha her relationship with the former Kaizer Chiefs legend has irretrievably broken down.

She indicated that she finds no prospects to mend their marriage especially now after being apart for more than two years.

Apart from the house and household property, the two also acquired vehicles and salon equipment which Samantha has also listed among properties needing to be shared.
