GOSPEL artiste and preacher Apostle Paul Sambo has strongly warned merry-makers to be cautious of the possible second wave of the coronavirus infections during the festive season.
The 37-year-old poured out his heart in his latest single titled Musandipfuure Jesu, a reminder to people to people to party responsibility and avoid loss of life during the usually fun-filled festive period.
“We understand many people will be reunited with their relatives coming from neighbouring countries like South Africa, Botswana, and Zambia and even overseas for the festive period.
“While it is nice that we embrace some of our own, we need to be cautious since most of the guys and relatives are coming from Covid-19 hotspots and there is likely to be a spike in such cases.
“We therefore urge merry markers to party responsibly and as their preachers and musicians, we have decided pen a song that urges them to put God first is whatever they are doing with their peers,” he said.
Apostle Sambo, who attends United Methodist Church in Glen View, said it was never too late for people to turn to God.
“In the single, we were also educating people that it’s never too late to turn to God whether in happier and trying times.
“To those who has survived the Covid-19 pandemic, it also time to thank God and all this was captured in the single Musandipfuura Jeso.
“It was produced by Big Jay featuring Caroline Mushore and its visuals will come soon,” he said.
The affable songwriter who is also a member of Zoe Prayer Group urged people to share what they have.
“I have been a member of an interdenominational group (Zoe Prayer Group) which has been in existence for the over a decade.
“Zoe is a Greek word which means God’s kind of life where were are peach love, unity and thanksgiving that need to be practiced all the time,” he said.
Besides his latest single titled Musandiosiye Jweso, Apostle Sambo boasts of a rich catalogue of songs and singles.
“To date, have recorded two albums and two singles to my name. I released my first album in eight years ago titled Praise God.
“It had eight tracks namely I Praise God, Zano, Jesu Arikudaidza, Jehovah Mufudzi Wangu, Vanokomborerwa and Vanokomborerwa Instrumental.
“This year I released my second album titled Mwari Vakanaka Veduve which carries 10 tracks namely Praise God remix, Mwari Munoshamisa,
Kutenda, Mwari Vakanaka Veduve, Jerusarema Musha Wangu, You’re Holy, Hossanah, Namata Urinde, Makatendeka and Praise God Instrumental,” he said.
Added Apostle Sambo:
“I also have two singles namely Mwari Muri Zuva Rangu released last year and Ndirangarireyi.
I have featured in other albums with the group Nyevero Dzedenga titlted Jesu Mirai Neni and Tumirayi Moto Nderengoma Nehosho.
“Besides that collaboration, I combined forces with another group called Melodies Gospel Singers titled Mwari Mubatsiri.”
The Glen View based Apostle Sambo has two singles – Jehovha Mufudzi Wangu,Ndinobva Kwamuri – ready for release.
