BETHEN UNVEILS SEVENTH ALBUM

Gospel musician Bethen Pasinawako-Ngolomi says she owes her success to God.

The Ndenzvereiwo singer over the weekend launched her seventh album titled Eke (This is God’s time) at Utano Restaurant in Avondale.

It carries seven tracks namely Ndiwe wakafinira featuring Pastor Matende, Teki Teki, Vhurai Nzira featuring Tocky Vibes, Anogona, Dombo featuring Prophet Freddy, Shinga featuring Doctor Tawanda and Ndabuda Musaga featuring Despatch as well as Prophet Freddy.

Speaking to H-Metro on the sidelines of the well-attended event, Bethen described the album as an early Christmas gift to all gospel lovers.

“That’s my Christmas gift to my fans and all those who love gospel music.

“Some of the songs require them to put on their dancing shoes and others uplift hearts of believers in these trying times.

“It has been a bad year for everyone but with God’s intervention i have managed to come up with this album.

“I owe the success to God and I believe the songs will win lost souls,” she said.

The album launch was lightened up by a Chitungwiza businessman Fredrick Mabamba who pledged to provide transport for her shows for the next two years while in the process of buying her a kombi.

On top of that Mabamba made Bethen an ambassador for his seven schools in Chitungwiza before giving her a residential stand (800 square meters) in Arcadia.

Another bider for the night was reverend Obadiah Musindo who forked out US $1500, 50 000 rtgs and a residential stand in Kadoma.

MAMA Preneurs led by amai M Mugabe pledged to sponsor a trip to Australia and also to spend a weekend in Victoria Falls.

United Kingdom based woman Fungai Maruta also bought the CD for US $2000.

Some of the artistes  who graced the album launch include dancehall chanter Tocky Vibes, Mathias Mhere, Maungira Edenga, Lasper, Pastor Matende, Nicholas Chirunga, Social Doctor and Portia Murindagomo among others.

Bethen also told this publication that she would take the new album to the provinces in Zimbabwe.

“Our plans to take the album to people are under way and we will be visible on all internet platforms.

“We will start with a concert in Kariba very soon.

“Special thanks go to my husband as well as producer Lyton, Pritchard (Scott Foundation), Nicholas Chirunga, Fungai Maruta and my die hard fans for making this launch a success,” she said.

Her other six albums include Aripo, Anotida, Anesu, Jesu, Paita Nyasha andJesu Pabasa.
