SONGBIRD Raven Duchess says she has mastered the art of jewelry making on Covid-19 lockdown.

The Norton based jazz exponent said she has been sitting on her newly hidden talent and vowed to take it seriously.

“I have discovered that I am good on jewelry making and I will take it seriously even though music still remains my first love,” she said.

The multi-talented diva said she has been multi-tasking to ensure she brings food on the table.

“In this era, you need to be innovative and ensure that you don’t lay all the eggs in one basket.

“In my case, I am trying my best to ensure that I bring food on the table,” she said.

Asked how she has been keeping herself busy on lockdown at a time when my have resorted to online gigs, she said:

“I have been holding online live shows as well. I have done Fète De La Music which was hosted by Alliance Francaise and I will be doing Afrofest Canada which is a festival that will be showcasing some of the best international musicians.”

She also urged Zimbabweans to take precautions and curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

“Covid 19 is real and people should not underestimate the repercussions of not following the safety precautions.

“I have been alerting people on Covid-19 precautions whenever I am performing online.

“I have been emphaising the need to sanitize and staying indoors as if there isn’t any urgent business to attend to.

“Musically, I have penned down a song on Covid-19 titled Madzitateguru Titungamirirewi that I will be releasing soon.

“As soon as I am able to get all things in order I will also release it as a music video and I have been doing my best,” she added.
