A man suspected of luring women for sex before robbing them along Seke Road was arrested on Thursday.
Rasdean Shahadat, popularly known as Nyengishto and is believed to be of Iraq origin, ran out of luck at a rocky place near Coca Cola bottling company when his victim shouted for help.
He was caught by passersby and taken to Braeside Police Station and a hand bag and cellphone was recovered from him.
“Several women have been lured by this man who took them to a secluded place at that hill where he would have sex with them and rob them,” said one of the vendors at the light industries along Seke Road.
“He seduces women daily and that is why we ended up calling him Nyengishto because most of his victims engage in sex with him,” said the vendor.
Harare province police spokesperson Inspector Tarisai Dube could not be reached for comment by the time of going to print but H-Metro is reliably informed that Shahadat is expected to appear in court today.
