New artiste, Kan_ian- real name Ian Kandoko- has revealed he is working towards composing his own songs and part ways with doing cover versions.
The 20 year old Houghton Park based artiste who sings afro pop and Rn’b said he is currently working on his debut single.
The single set to be released soon is simply titled “Myself.”
“I have a big passion for music and since I started music not so long ago I have been singing and performing cover songs.
“I was doing mainly songs by Burna Boy, Sjava and Post Malone among others
“I am now looking into leaving that side of music and start my own music so I can really deliver the real me.
“Performing cover songs has helped me with my vocal delivery and has somewhat boosted my confidence to start my own music.
“The song I am working on should be out next month and this will mark a new chapter in my music,” said Kan_ian.
He added:
“I have been holding back but I really now want to give music my all and see where it leads me.
“The lockdown has had me see things differently and now more than ever I feel I have gained focus on my music.
“I really hope people will like what I have in store for them.”
