“I think I am now ready to play after having been away for so long.

“It’s always nice to be back on the field. I just thank God that l am now okay and doing what l love, which is playing football.

“Only the coach knows whether I will start in the next game or if l am ready to compete,” he said.

Kadewere says he can’t wait to make his long awaited return to the national team ahead of their back to back against Algeria next month.

“I’m just praying that nothing will happen, I’m not God but I’m hopeful.

“Last time l couldn’t participate because of the injury. But l’m now ready and looking forward to play.

“It’s actually an honour and every player wish to play for your country and l can’t wait to play.

“Playing the football game excites me and l can’t wait,” he said.

“We are obviously on paper, the underdogs. But the history of football tells us that that any team can do the impossible.

“So we have to believe to achieve the best.”

When asked on their chances against all the teams they have been paired to, he said:

“We are obviously on paper, the underdogs. But the history of football tells us that that any team can do the impossible.

“So we have to believe to achieve the best.”

Kadewere told H-Metro that he is not afraid but is ready for whatever challenge which comes his way.

“Football is a game and anything can happen. We can’t go fearing any opposition or opponent. As for me I’m ready to serve my nation. I think I will be more than ready when the time comes.

“We are ready for the challenge; we have players that our opponents should be stressed about also because our team is made up of great players who are doing well in their respective leagues.

“It’s all about taking one game at a time and setting the number of points we need in the Group stages.”
