Warriors vice-captain, Alec Mudimu has expressed concern over the ban of local stadiums by Confederation of African Football.

Zimbabwe are forced to play on foreign soil in their upcoming game against Algeria.

Warriors play the Dessert Foxes in back-to-back clashes beginning with a visit to Algeria on March 26 and a reverse fixture three days later.

The Moldovia-based player took to social media.

“This is sad news for our country not being able to play in front of our own fans in such a huge and important game for Zimbabwe,” he said.

The CEFN Druids star went on to assure fans they will fight when they face Algeria even though they will not be playing at home.

“But nevertheless this doesn’t take anything away from Zimbabwe.

“We do what we always do and fight to the very end regardless of the circumstances. We stay united and keep pushing forward towards our goals as a great Nation that we are,” read Mudimu’s post.
