Soul Jah Love’s handlers yesterday said the chanter’s accident was caused by stray cattle, a few kilometers out of Kadoma.

The “Kana ndafa” singer was involved in an accident about 10km from Kadoma on Saturday evening around 8pm.

He was making his way to a show in Kwekwe, driving a BMW mini cooper that overturned about three times, according to his manager Kudzanai Ruwisi.

Ruwisi was driving behind Jah Love in another vehicle, an Opel Astra when the accident happened.

Jah Love was in the company of his friends Jungle Manana and Mazhambe.

“There were stray cattle along the road so Jah Love avoided the cattle switching to the oncoming lane but then lost control of his car when he returned to his lane.

“It was on a curve and there was also a steep slope just after the curve so he found it difficult to negotiate and get back on the road.

“The vehicle overturned about three times but no one was injured,” he said.

Ruwisi dismissed reports of Jah Love being visibly drunk at the accident scene and said he was driving at the required speed.

Despite being involved in the accident, Jah Love still made it for the show in Kwekwe and performed.

The accident occurred hardly a week after the singer sought for prayers from PHD leader Prophet Walter Magaya.

Prophet Magaya pledged to assist the singer to quit drugs and he once prayed for him when he had a leg infection.

His wife Bounty Lisa recently sought healing from the same man of the cloth after she developed a lump on her thigh.

While misfortune seems to be trailing the chanter like a shadow, Jah Love has vowed to continue fighting demons in his quest to conquer again.
