OUTGOING Dynamos captain Edward Sadomba is set to host a testimonial match for his retirement.

Sadomba played at DeMbare last season in a campaign hampered by injuries.

“I’m organizing a testimonial match to celebrate all the years I’ve had in my career.

“I want to invite my former players nationally and international, everything is going well and I’ve set up a team to make the event a success.

“We will announce the date and place in due course, “he said.

Sadomba also took time to reflect on his career.

“First and foremost, I give glory to God for a wonderful and successful career.

“He guided me and I have achieved so much. Of course, it’s difficult to leave something that you enjoy the most, football changed my life and it helped me to other lives too.

Sadomba who is also worshipped in other countries like Sudan until now told H-Metro that he is honored to have left such a great impact in other countries.

“As a player it’s rare for people to love you that much especially when you’re a foreigner.

“Not all players get that recognition and l am honoured to be one. I’m also happy that l left such an impact in foreign land, “he said.

The 36-year-old left some advice to rising footballers.

‘‘You have to be determined, dedicated and disciplined to achieve something.

“These are things that are lacking in today’s footballers, if they apply that they will succeed in their careers.

Sadomba thanked the club for the time he spent.

“I enjoyed every moment at Dynamos, there were ups and downs and that’s the nature of football.

‘‘it is every players wish to play for a club like that and I’m glad that l had that chance.

“I am forever grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity they gave me, “he said.
