DUTCHMAN Pieter de Jongh says he did not apply for the Warriors job and is not contemplating taking over even if the offer comes.

De Jongh revealed this after he was unveiled as FC Platinum coach yesterday, as exclusively reported by H-Metro last month.

The former Highlanders coach is among the foreigners who had been linked to the country’s hot seat in football.

He said, for now, the focus is on his new challenges at FC Platinum as he aims a successful stint.

De Jongh told the media during his unveiling yesterday that he did not apply for the job.

“I never applied for the Zimbabwe national team job, that’s not correct I didn’t apply,” said de Jongh.

He said there was only a suggestion while he was at Highlanders that he can double as the Warriors coach.

“The moment I was at Highlanders, there was a suggestion that I stay and a possibility of doing the national team as well.

“And I made a decision not to extend my contract because for me as coach I have ambitions. I want to work on big platform and big platform for me is FC Platinum. My focus is on FC Platinum,” he said.
