CARLOS Green says he aborted seven shows during the money-spinning festive owing to stress triggered by his girl-friend.

Artistes are known making a killing during the festive season by lining up a series of show but flamboyant Green opted to cancel his gigs and yesterday he apologised for the move.

“I had a problem with my girl-friend over US$720 which went missing in our house and we almost fought.

“My girl-friend started accusing me of stealing the money and I did equally the same accusing her and up to now there is still tension between us.

“Owing to the confrontation I had, I had a high Blood Pressure and I couldn’t perform, which led to the cancellation of seven shows,” he said.

The Vane Mari Vauya singer has since issued an apology to his fans who had been waiting for him.

“To my fans, I would like to say sorry because the situation was beyond my control.

“I know it’s hard to convince them but I was under the weather and I am not as fit as a fiddle to return to the stage.

“I will also hold compensation gigs at venue where I have been booked,” he said.

Green was billed to perform at Netombo Motel in Nyabira on December 14, Mutorashanga Country Club (December 24), La Rouge (December 28), Bar Rouge (December 26), Chegutu (December 20), Moonlight Nite Club-Mabvuku (New Year’s Day), and KwaPiti Nite Club in Bindura on December 31.

He also apologised to club owners for costs incurred in the production of posters.

Green has vowed to meet some of the costs but has appealed both fans and event organisers to give him a second chance.
